The Queen’s Jubilee by Frances Rose
The Queen's Jubilee tells the story of Queen Lizzie who is celebrating her 70th year on the throne and everyone is excited. The only problem is that they don't know what to get a queen who already has everything... until Prince Charlie has an amazing idea.
It's a story that teaches children the joys and beauty of nature and the positive impact we can all make to our environment.
We have been talking a lot about the Queen and her upcoming Platinum Jubilee. The children have been making crowns and decorating them using their excellent crafting skills.
We have learnt the Makaton for Queen, King, Princess and Prince and had fun learning the word tiara!
We took the Royal Carriage on a trip to London to see sights such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, The London Eye and the Royal Guard.
Using our physical skills, we became the Queen’s Corgi dogs moving around the palace gardens and galloped along like the horses pulling the carriage. We also lined up pretending to be Guards, standing to attention and saluting the Queen (Carole) as we marched past her.
We hope you all have a lovely holiday and enjoy celebrating the Platinum Jubilee.
