We provide a safe and stimulating environment where children learn through pursuing their own interests in play, alongside some pre-planned activities. Our staff’s main focus is to observe what sparks a child’s interest and then aim to extend that into a teachable moment.

Our large playroom is equipped with a wide range of play and art equipment and we have the use of an additional room where children can do more physical activities such as dancing and playing with ride-on toys.

There are three different enclosed areas to choose from for outdoor play, and we use elements of the “forest school” approach by placing importance on active play in the environment as a natural and primary way that children learn. By doing this, children can learn to assess risks themselves, solve problems and develop their creativity, be it balancing on logs, moving on slippery surfaces, climbing, or tying sticks together to make something they like.

We have regular sessions with visiting early years practitioners covering subjects such as music and dance, P.E. nature education and even magic!

Opening hours

Our opening hours are term time only: Monday to Friday 08:45-15:00.
